• Discover the delights of bell-ringing or rambling
• Run a guided tour of your town
• Start a dog-walking rota with your neighbours
• Take up salsa dancing or t'ai chi
• Get off the bus a couple of stops early
• Go on a sponsored walk
• Take young family members off for a game of football
• Offer to help out at your local school
